Evermore by Alyson Noel

Evermore (The Immortals, #1)Evermore by Alyson Noel

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ever is just trying to survive a new school and a new life after the accident that killed her mother, father, sister and dog. Oh, and ever since the accident she can not only hear everything everyone thinks, but she can also see their auras. Her way of dealing with it is to listen to her iPod loudly while pulling her hood up over her head. But then Damen walks into her English class. Not only does he seem to know everything about her and can make things appear, but when he's talking to her she only hears his voice and nothing more. Why? and why does he seem so familiar? Who is he? Where did he come from?

I loved this. I bit different from the norm of what's out there right now. It's also enough to appease those who like Twilight and the other fantasy series that are so popular right now. I will definately be buying this series and reading this series! :)

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & MargaretStohl

Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1)Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ethan Wate is at the top of the food chain in the small southern town of Gatlin, South Carolina. That is until he meets Lena Duchannes, the new girl who lands at the very bottom of the food chain in Gatlin as the niece of the infamous recluse Macon Ravonwood. They find they are drawn to eachother until nothing else matters but being with eachother even though Lena is a Castor from a long line of Castors both Light and Dark. The only problem is that on the 16th birthday of every member of Lena's family they are Claimed as either Light or Dark whether they want to be or not. As her day draws closer and closer, her time with Ethan does too. Will she be Claimed as Fark or Light? Find out.

The history involved in the storyline was perfect. I loved it since it was mostly about the Civil War and about reeacting it which we do as a family. I never really thought about what if the march to the sea was darker than just fire and houses. I bet it was. Can't wait for the next one!

This was so weird for me. I just didn't get it! There seemed to be multiple stories and timelines running throughout the book, but they just didn't make sense! What a mess! How the heck did Disney get such a wonderful movie out of this?? Can anyone explain what's so great about this?

Impossible by Nancy Werlin

ImpossibleImpossible by Nancy Werlin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Lucinda Scarborough and all the Scarborough girls before her have been cursed by an evil Elfin Knight who wanted the original Scarborough girl as his true love forever. Instead Lucy's ancestor fell in love with a mortal and refused the Elfin Knight. The curse means that each Scarborough girl must take on 3 impossible tasks before the birth of her child or go mad forever!

This was a good story but didn't flow very well at all for me. It took me forever to get through this one for some reason. What did you think? I just read on Werlin's site that her next book, Extraordinary, will be along these same lines of new age faerie story. We'll have to see if Werlin can redeem herself!

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3)Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After the show stopping rescue of Katniss Everdeen from the arena of the Quarter Quell, the world has been waiting to see what's next for her. Katniss never wanted any part in a rebellion against The Capitol, but here she is...their Mockingjay! The problem? The Capitol still has Peeta. How will Katniss be able to save Panem and Peeta while also ensuring her own family is safe?

All I have to say about this one is that it was PERFECT!! I can't believe she wrote it perfectly! I was ready to be disappointed somehow, but I wasn't in any way!

Now I'm just waiting for 2 things...1. the movies! AND 2. What does Collins do to follow up this one?!

Dark Life by Kat Falls

Dark Life (Dark Life, #1)Dark Life by Kat Falls

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ty lives in the future. In Ty's world the new frontier territory he and his family live in is in the deep ocean. He and his family are pioneer farmers providing food to the Topside. All Ty has ever wanted is to get a claim for land of his own underwater like his parents and he's almost old enough! That's when he meets a girl from the Topside who torpedos him into an adventure of a lifetime to save the lifestyle he holds most dear!

I LOVED this! It's Wild, Wild West meets Firefly!! What could get better!? This is an AMAZING 1st book from Kat Falls and I can't wait for Rip Tide, the 2nd book planned for the Dark Life Series!

What did you think?
