Book Trailer Thursday #14- Sweet Evil and The Selection...

Book Trailer Thursday is a weekly feature inspired by Once Upon a Twilight. We are hoping to promote not only new books that are out or are soon to be out on the shelves, but to also promote the creation of book trailers themselves!

This week’s trailers:

What if there were teens whose lives depended on being bad influences? This is life for sons and daughters of fallen angels in Sweet Evil.
Tenderhearted Southern girl, Anna Whitt, was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage, and her will-power is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
A cross-country trip to meet her father forces Anna to face the reality that hope and love are not options for her kind. When she confronts her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns? (Summary from Goodreads)

I'm mean seriously!? This sounds AWESOME and the trailer is just delicious!

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself-and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.(Summary from Goodreads)

I love the use of the caste system to define what the main character can do. This book trailer makes me really sad for the desperate girls standing and waiting for the Prince to decide. I really want to read the book and see if America can stand up for what she wants.

What's your favorite book trailer of the week?

  1. Ah, such great choices! I really love both of the trailer but The Selection is just teasing! How are they going to show Maxon throwing the crown to a random girl . . WHO CATCHES IT!?
