Author: Melissa Marr
Release Date: September 4, 2012
Published by: HarperCollins

In a city of diamons, the Carnival of Souls hosts a deadly competition. Once in a generation, every citizen can fight to join the ruling elite. Without the competition, Aya and Kaleb would both face bleak futures - if for different reasons. For each of them, fighting to the death is the only way to try to live.
In our own world, Mallory knows that her father - and every other witch - fled the diamons' city long ago. She trains to be lethal because it's only a matter of time until the daimons catch up with them.
While Mallory possesses little knowledge of The City, every inhabitant of The City know of her. There are plans there for Mallory, and soon she, too, will be drawn into the decadence that is the Carnival of Souls.
From Melissa Marr, bestselling author of the Wicked Lovely series, comes a brand-new tale of secrets, love and the struggle to forge one's own destiny. (Summary from Goodreads)

2nd- I ADORE Melissa Marr, so I honestly CAN'T WAIT for this next book from her! *SQUEAL* *jumping up and down in excitement*  Yes, I know I'm a goofball! :)

There's even a fabulous video of Melissa talking about the book...

Author: Claire Merle
Release Date: June 7, 2012
Published by: Faber & Faber (UK)

In a near future, society is segregated according to whether people are genetically disposed to mental illness. 17-year-old Ana has been living the privileged life of a Pure due to an error in her DNA test. When the authorities find out, she faces banishment from her safe Community, a fate only thwarted by the fact that she has already been promised to Pure-boy Jasper Taurell.
Jasper is from a rich and influential family and despite Ana's condition, wants to be with her. The authorities grant Ana a tentative reprieve. If she is joined to Jasper before her 18th birthday, she may stay in the Community until her illness manifests. But if Jasper changes his mind, she will be cast out among the Crazies. As Ana's joining ceremony and her birthday loom closer, she dares to hope she will be saved from the horror of the City and live a "normal" life. But then Jasper disappears.
Led to believe Jasper has been taken by a strange sect the authorities will not interfere with, Ana sneaks out of her well-guarded Community to find him herself. Her search takes her through the underbelly of society and into the pits of the human soul. And as she delves deeper into the mystery of Jasper's abduction she uncovers some devastating truths that destroy everything she has grown up to believe, but she also learns to love as she has never loved before. (Summary from Goodreads)

Oh my goodness! What a cool dystopian idea. I think this sounds like a great romantic adventure (a Romeo & Juliet-esque love; one that should never be as defined by society). This is a "to read" for me.
