This week’s trailers:

Author: Rachel Hartman
Release Date: July 10, 2012
Published by: Random House Children's Books

Four decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. Folding themselves into human shape, dragons attend court as ambassadors, and lend their rational, mathematical minds to universities as scholars and teachers. As the treaty's anniversary draws near, however, tensions are high.
Seraphina Dombegh has reason to fear both sides. An unusually gifted musician, she joins the court just as a member of the royal family is murdered - in suspiciously draconian fashion. Seraphina is drawn into the investigation, partnering with the captain of the Queen's Guard, the dangerously perceptive Prince Lucian Kiggs. While they begin to uncover hints of a sinister plot to destroy the peace, Seraphina struggles to protect her own secret, the secret behind her musical gift, one so terrible that its discovery could mean her very life. (Summary from Goodreads)

This is such a great book trailer! WOW! This was Rachel's WoW this week and I was a bit on the fence about it but now that I've seen the trailer...I'm in!

Author: Paul Griffin
Release date: September 8, 2011
Published by: Dial

Fifteen-year-olds Cece and Mack didn't expect to fall in love. She's a sensitive "A" student; he's a high school dropout. But soon they're spending every moment together, bonding over a rescued dog, telling their secrets, making plans for the future. Everything is perfect. Until. Until. Mack makes a horrible mistake, and in just a few minutes, the future they'd planned becomes impossible. In this stark new reality, both of them must find meaning and hope in the memories of what they had, to survive when the person they love can't stay. (Summary from Goodreads)

Other than the dog part (doesn't work for me), I liked this video. From the sounds of it, this will be one romantic but heart-breaking tale. I'm thinking tears will be in order...

  1. I just read a review for Seraphina the other day and thought it sounded interesting but I don't know if I'm interested enough to read it myself, the same with Stay With Me, I don't know if I'll pick it up but from the description and trailer it looks emotional.

This week I picked WIZZYWIG by Ed Piskor http://littlethoughtsaboutbooks.blogspot.com/2012/06/book-trailer-thursday-wizzywig-by-ed.html
